USB 3.0-powered Monitor From 3M

3M has unveiled its new USB 3.0-powered monitor. The 18.5-inch monitor is powered by a couple of USB 3.0 ports and produces 1366 x 768 pixel resolution. For your info, the USB 3.0 interface supports up to 5GB/s transfer rate, so there will be more room for high-definition pictures when compared to the 480Mbit/s of USB 2.0. 3M And Quanto Introduces DST Touchscreen Technology At Computex

Minnesota-based company 3M and Taiwan-based Quanta Computer have collaborated to create the Dispersive Signal Technology (DST). This new touchscreen technology is capable of detecting both the stylus and finger input with high precision. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing or availability at this time. This 22-inch monitor makes use of 3M’s Projected Capacitive Technology allowing it to support 10-finger multitouch input and advanced gesture capability with very fast response time. In terms of performance, the monitor supports 1680 x 1050 high-definition resolution and provides DVI and VGA video input, audio input, USB and RS232 (serial) dual-mode communication protocol and durable, anti-glare front surface. 3M MPro150 - Projector And MP3 Player Combo

3M’s MPro150 is a combination of a pico projector and an MP3 player. The gadget comes jam packed with a 1GB of internal memory, an integrated speaker, and an expandable microSD slot. The MPro150 allows projection up to 50-inches at 15 lumens brightness. Additional features include support for Microsoft Office applications as well as Adobe PDFs, photos and video.
