Acer is about to launch two new DLP projectors for the Japanese market in the form of the P1100C and P1200B. The P1100C provides 800 x 600 native resolution, 4,000:1 contrast ratio, 2,600 ANSI lumens brightness and up to 5,000 hours of lamp life (in ECO mode). Meanwhile, the P1200B supports a native resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels and offers 3,700:1 contrast ratio, 2,600 ANSI lumens brightness and up to 5,000 hours of lamp life (in ECO mode). In terms of connectivity ports, both projectors come with mini D-Sub15 pin, composite, S-Video, three USB and HDMI (P1200B). The P1100C And P1200B will become available in Japan from August 4th for 60,000 Yen (about $690) and 80,000 Yen (about $920), respectively.

Acer has proudly announced the new S1 Series LCD displays, which are claimed to be the slimmest Full HD LCD displays in the world. Measuring at only 13mm-15mm thick, the Acer S1 Series LCD displays consist of four models that offer VGA and DVI ports with HDCP encryption, an HDMI port (on the 21 and 23-inch models), a 12,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a 5ms response time, and a full HD resolution. The contrast ratio is constantly altered with every frame by Acer’s Adaptive Contrast Management to achieve ultra-sharp images. Pricing for these displays will begin at £119.99 ($184) for the 18.5-inch model, and up to £169.99 ($260) for the 23-inch model. [TechRadar]

Acer is ready to launch a couple of new Aspire desktop PCs in the form of the Aspire X3 and M3. Both desktop PCs feature a sleek, black design with an illuminated blue power button, an attractive touch that ensures it can be found even in a dark cabinet. The Acer Aspire X3 is powered by an AMD Athlon II or an Intel Pentium E5500 processor, up to 4GB memory, an integrated nVidia GeForce 9200 or an Intel GMA X4500HD graphics and a 640GB hard disk drive. Other features include 9 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI port, a PCI Express x1 and a PCI Express x16 slot for adding a TV tuner, discrete graphics or sound card.
The Acer Aspire M3 features either an Intel Core i3/i5 or an AMD Athlon II processor, up to 6GB memory, an ATI Radeon HD 5570 graphics card, a 5.1-channel surround sound, up to a 1.5TB hard disk drive, an easy swappable hard disk drive cartridge, a PCI Express x1 slot, 12 USB 2.0 ports and HDMI port. Acer has finally rolled out five new LCD monitors from the G5 series this week. Available in 19-inch, 20-inch, 22-inch, 23-inch and 24-inch models, these LCD monitors feature a 80,000:1 contrast ratio, a low response time, and an HDMI. The 24-inch model has a 1920 x 1080 resolution, while the mid-size 22-inch and 23-inch monitors boast 1600 x 900 pixels resolution.
