I-O Data has added a new storage option ‘2TB’ to its SuperSpeed USB 3.0 external HDD series by announcing the HDJ-UT2.0. Measuring 46mm x 223mm x 155mm and weighing 1.6kg, this 3.5-inch drive features a USB 3.0/2.0 interface and is able to provide transfer speeds of up to 139MB/s on USB 3.0. Buffalo comes back with their new USB 2.0 external hard disk drive, which is known as the Buffalo HD-AVU2. The storage device features a sleek black finish body in order to match your home theater setting and is currently available in 500GB, 1TB, 1.5TB and 2TB of storage capacities. LG has announced a new line of external HDDs for the Korean market with the introduction of the XG1 Chic. Coming in 1TB, 1.5TB, 2TB capacities, these stylish 3.5-inch drives feature a powerful and silent cooling system, a USB 2.0/1.1 interface and support SATA II interface for a faster and efficient data transfer. The 1TB version is already available in Korea for 140,000 KRW (about $120), while the 1.5TB and 2TB versions will become available in January next year for unannounced price yet.
