The Razer BlackWidow is ready to release a new high-end mechanical keyboard for gaming. Dubbed as the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate, the keyboard is one of the first to feature illumination and mechanical keys that give better tactile feedback for better control. Razer’s BlackWidow Ultimate is expected to cost $129 in the US. Other features include the standard 102-key US layout and several macro-bound keys. [Razer]

Thermaltake eSPORTS has rolled out the latest gaming-grade keyboard from the “MEKA” series of mechanical keyboard. The Thermaltake eSPORTS MEKA G1 features a polling rate of 1000Hz, a heavy duty performance mechanical keyboard specification, a full speed USB design and an anti-ghost key design. Huntington Beach-based peripheral maker Zowie Gear and professional Counter-Strike player Emil “HeatoN” Christensen have joined together to release the EC1 and EC2 high-end optical gaming mice. Available in black and white, the EC-series mouse features a maximum DPI setting of 2000 (on-the-fly adjustments are possible), a 1,000Hz USB report rate, a 1.5mm lift-off distance to enable even greater precision, a 2-meter cable, and five buttons, including a durable scroll wheel with a claimed lifetime of over 5 years. Both the EC1 and EC2 are set to debut in mid-August 2010 for €59.90 ($77) a pop.

The latest Linux-based portable gaming console from Gamepark Holdings has been released. Measuring 146mm x 70mm x 18.5mm and weighing 136grams, the Gamepark Caanoo boasts a 533MHz ARM9 CPU with a 3D GPU, a 128MB RAM, a 3.5-inch (320 x 240) LCD display, an SD/SDHC card slot for storage expansion and a G-sensor. Razer and Blizzard Entertainment have joined together to release three new StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty-branded gaming peripherals, which consist of the Razer Spectre StarCraft II gaming mouse, the Razer Marauder StarCraft II gaming keyboard and the Razer Banshee StarCraft II gaming headset.
The Razer Spectre StarCraft II is a lightweight, five-button mouse designed to provide precision and control for RTS gamers. The Razer Spectre features the newly developed APM (Actions-Per-Minute) Lighting System with a multi-color LED that provides real-time performance feedback through changing lighting hues and adjustable mouse button force settings for optimal mouse click speed and control.
