SageTV has started shipping the SageTV HD Theater 300 HD media player. This gadget can stream video from online sites like YouTube, TV network websites, and Google video at the touch of a button on the remote control right to the TV in your living room. What makes this media player more special is that it is also able to stream media files to a wired network or to a wireless network with the addition of an optional wireless adapter. The SageTV HD Theater 300 supports HDMI 1.3 and both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD/MA audio output. Netgear has rolled out a couple HD media players in the form of the NeoTV 550 and 350. Both media players support playback of 1080p Full HD media files and supports most media formats including XviD, DivX, MP4, MKV, AVCHD as well as Dolby Digital and DTS digital audio. The NeoTV 350 and 550 both have a SD card slot and USB port for external storage. The NeoTV 550 also supports an eSATA port, BD-Live and an external Blu-ray drive.
