Samsung has officially announced their newest Android tablet ‘Galaxy Tab‘ for the mass market. This much awaited Android tablet is scheduled to be released in Europe in mid-September and in other markets including Korea, the US and Asia in coming months, however, there’s no word on pricing yet. To refresh your memory, the Galaxy Tab offers a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, a 7-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen TFT LCD display, a 512MB RAM, a 16GB/32GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, a 3-megapixel autofocus camera at the back, 720p HD video recording support, GPS, 2.5G, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, an HDMI port and runs on Android 2.2 Froyo OS. A New Full HD monitor is about to be launched in Japan by Samsung. Dubbed as the P2770FH, this new 27-inch widescreen monitor supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and delivers 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness and 1ms response time. It also comes with both DVI-D and HDMI connectors. The Samsung P2770FH will start shipping in early September for unannounced price yet. [Samsung]

Samsung has introduced several new products at IFA 2010 including the 65-inch 8000 series Full HD 3D LED TV, the SP-A8000 3D-capable video projector, the HT-C9950W stainless steel 3D 7.1-channel home theater system, and the BD-C8900 3D BD player/recorder. The Samsung 8000 series features the company latest wave of widgets, DLNA support and Samsung AllShare, while the Samsung BD-C8900 3D BD player/recorder comes with a 500GB of internal hard disk drive. Samsung Electronics comes back with the S2 Portable USB 3.0 HDD that features an on-board SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface and a 7200RPM spindle speed, delivering faster performance over preceding versions. The SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface boasts a maximum transfer rate of 5Gbps, compared to the 480Mbps of USB 2.0 interface. Additional features include the low vibration Dynamic Balancing technology, the SilentSeek low noise technology and the NoiseGuard. Additionally, the Samsung S2 comes preloaded with Samsung Auto Backup, SecretZone and SafetyKey for data encryption and password protection. Samsung is ready to release four new 3D HDTVs for the mass market. The 65-inch UN65C8000 is a LED-backlit unit that supports Samsung’s Real 240Hz panel and Wi-Fi connectivity. This 3D LED HDTV is capable of producing an 8,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The 50-inch PN50C680 and 58-inch PN58C680 produce a 1080p display resolution on 600Hz panels. Both 3D HDTVs provide users the AllShare feature, allowing them to access media on other PCs or other DLNA-compatible devices. Finally, the 50-inch PN50C490 supports a lower 720p resolution display. Samsung has rolled out three new portable Blu-ray players namely the BD-C7900, C6800 and C5900. The Samsung C7900 sports dual HDMI outputs and can offer extra Internet-related features such as Blockbuster, Netflix and Pandora. The Samsung C6800 only features one HDMI output, while the C5900 is the entry-level device. The Samsung C7900, C6800 and C5900 are priced at $400, $280, and $230, respectively. In addition, the company has also announced the availability of their first portable 3D Blu-ray player. Known as the Samsung BD-C8000, the gadget is capable of offering 3D movies when attached through an HDMI output. Samsung Electronics will release the F4EG EcoGreen, an environmentally friendly hard disk drive for the desktop market. The EcoGreen F4EG features a 2-terabyte of storage space (667GB for each of its three disks), which is capable of storing up to 880-hour of DVD video or 500,000 songs in MP3 format. With its three disks and advanced technology, the Samsung F4EG HDD is 19% better in standby time performance and provides 23% lower power consumption in standby mode than the previous model, the Samsung F3EG. Samsung has collaborated with TeleHealth Services to launch the 458 Series LCD TVs that is specially designed for use in hospitals. Available in 26-inch and 32-inch models, these UL-approved LCD TVs come with TeleHealth Services’ proprietary TIGR patient education system that gives patients access to educational videos anytime they want. What’s more, these TVs also have USB ports that allow patients to access multimedia content of their choice. [TeleHealth]

Samsung has decided to release the 22-inch and 26-inch LED TVs in India. Both LED TVs support a full HD support, a high dynamic contrast ratio, Allshare, Anynet, HDMI ports and Touch of Color (ToC) design. In case you didn’t know, the LED LCD TV uses LEDs as their light source that produces better picture quality than a conventional LCD. The power consumption is also reduced by 40% compared to LCD HDTVs and does not use environment harming materials like mercury and lead.
