JK Shin, the president of Samsung’s mobile communications division, has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy Tab will be launched in the third quarter of 2010, which ends in June. This Apple iPad competitor is powered by a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, Android 2.2 OS, a 4,000mAh battery and a 7-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, which will be viewable outdoors. NEC LifeTouch Android-powered Tablet

The LifeTouch is the first Android 2.1-powered tablet from NEC that has a similar design with the Nintendo DS. The tablet comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display that will respond to both finger and stylus input. The LifeTouch is pretty impressive with its ARM Cortex A8 CPU, a Mobile DDR 256MB, Wi-Fi IEEE802.11b/11g, Bluetooth Ver.2.1 + EDR, a 3MP camera, GPS, accelerometer, stereo speakers, an SD/SDHC slot and a couple of USB 2.0 ports. 3M And Quanto Introduces DST Touchscreen Technology At Computex

Minnesota-based company 3M and Taiwan-based Quanta Computer have collaborated to create the Dispersive Signal Technology (DST). This new touchscreen technology is capable of detecting both the stylus and finger input with high precision. Unfortunately, there is no info on pricing or availability at this time. FIC Tycoon TVB00 10.1-inch Widescreen Slate PC

First International Computer, Inc. (FIC) today unveiled the Tycoon TVB00 10.1-inch widescreen Slate PC at Computex 2010. The gadget is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455 processor, a large 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 capacitive multitouch widescreen display, a micro-SATA type 1.8-inch hard disk drive, a Broadcom BCM70015 Crystal HD advanced media processor for 1080p high definition video playback and up to 2GB of DDR3 667MHz support. Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, a mini HDMI port and a Polymer battery that provides up to 3-hour of battery life. The 10.1-inch wide LED backlight touchscreen is large enough for reading eBooks, eNewspapers, eMagazines and interactive media programs. The Tycoon TVB00 is also capable of running Windows 7 Ultimate operating system. Gateway has decided to upgrade the 23-inch ZX6900 touchscreen all-in-one PC with a more powerful processor. The new ZX6900 uses a 2.93GHz Intel Core i3 dual-core processor, or you can also choose a faster 3.2GHz Intel Core i5 processor. Other features include a built-in Intel graphics, a 4GB RAM, a 640GB hard drive and a 4X Blu-ray combo drive. The Gateway ZX6900 will be released in the first week of June 2010 for $1,020 upwards. Dell Looking Glass Tablet

Dell has recently unveiled the specification of the upcoming Dell Looking Glass 7-inch tablet. Powered by nVidia Tegra 2, this Android-based tablet features a 7-inch touch-sensitive display with 800×600 resolution, a 4GB RAM, a 4GB flash storage, an SDHC card slot for expandable storage (up to 32GB), a 1.3MP webcam, Bluetooth, 3G and an optional TV tuner. Hanwha HM-TL7T 7-inch WVGA Monitor

Hanwha today introduced the HM-TL7T 7-inch WVGA monitor in Japan. The device is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and 7 operating systems. The HM-TL7T touchscreen display produces a 500:1 contrast ratio, a 250cd/m2 brightness level, a HDMI output as well as DVI-D and VGA connectivity.
