It looks like we are getting closer and closer to the release of the new modem from Verizon called the LTE. It will be Verizon’s attempt to burst into the 4G market and things are looking really promising. The modem is looking super sleek and shiny and comes with all of the Verizon, LTE and LG logos that you would expect to see here. The largest US mobile carrier Verizon will release the BlackBerry Bold 9650 via online on June 3rd, 2010, which is tomorrow. The smartphone will be available via Verizon Wireless Communications Stores starting June 10th, 2010. A non-camera version will also be available on June 3th, 2010. The BlackBerry Bold 9650 is Verizon’s first global smartphone to support GlobalAccess Connect, so it can be used for tethering in more than 200 countries worldwide. GlobalAccess Connect plans are available for $65 monthly access for 5GB allowance in the United States and Canada ($0.05/MB overage) and 100MB allowance in select countries ($5.12/MB overage). There is also a $155 monthly access option that offers 5 GB allowance in the United States and Canada and 200MB allowance in select countries, with the same overage rates as the $65 monthly option.
In case you didn’t know, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 features a 480 x 360 pixels display, a full QWERTY keypad, an optical trackpad, Wi-Fi, Verizon Navigator 6, stereo Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headset jack, and a 3.2MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash. Motorola today unveiled the latest Bluetooth headset with MotoSpeak. Known as the H17txt, the headset interacts with the MotoSpeak application that can be downloaded from application stores such as the Android Market. Using this application, you will be able to hear your text messages read out to you through the H17txt headset. What’s more, the device can also announce who is texting you via sender ID and can automatically respond with a customizable text message that lets your friend know that you’re driving.
